It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Tucker Hayes of Statesville, North Carolina, who passed away on May 30, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dollie Tucker and Ethel Bullin Tucker; her husband William Horace Hayes; and her sisters, Mary Lou Bell, Jettie Safriet and Doris Deaton.
She is survived by: her daughter Lavonda Nicholson (Allen Nicholson); her grandchildren, Jeniene Nicholson and Adrianne Nicholson; and her great grandchildren, Alaina Smith (Tristan Hopkins), Adalynn Nicholson and Kedan Nicholson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Diamond Hill Baptist Church (2320 E Broad St, Statesville, NC 28625). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
