With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Clarissa Kennedy (Statesville, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 13, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lamar Tabor and Clara Latten Tabor; her husband Eddie Kennedy; her son Trevor Desmond Tabor; her siblings, Harvey Joe Tabor, Larry Joe Tabor, Pearlie Elizabeth Tabor Davis and Hedy Lamar Tabor Rice; and her in-laws, Ellis Rice, Melwood Davis Jr. and Suprenna Morrison Tabor.
She is survived by: her son Corey Antoine Tabor; her grandchildren, Joshua Oglesby and Cameron Tamiya Tabor; and her siblings, Danny Leon Tabor, Selwyn Todd Tabor, Zanny Celeste Tabor and Debrasa Mitchell Tabor Lewis. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Highland Acres Church of Christ (1301 McLaughlin St, Statesville, NC 28677). A celebration of life was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
