She was predeceased by : her parents, Grady Hicks and Mary Holland Hicks. She is survived by : her husband Dwayne Myers; her daughter Katrina Myers; her son-in-law Edward Mikula; her grandsons, Edward "Eziu" Mikula IV and Josef Mikula; her sister Melissa Tilley; her brother-in-law Billy Tilley; her great-niece Kaydence Lambert; and her close friends, Terry Reid and Tina Mcdaniels.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bright Light Baptist Church (478 Trinity Rd, Statesville, NC 28625).
