It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Johnson of Statesville, North Carolina, who passed away on June 26, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Roy Raleigh Barkley and Francis Duree Barkley; her husband Samuel "Sonny" Branson Johnson, II; and her siblings, June Barkley and William Scott Barkley (Leanne).

She is survived by : her daughter Heather J. Norman (Darrell) of Statesville; her grandson Jacob Norman of Statesville; her brothers, Jim Barkley and John Barkley; and her nieces, Reese Barkley and Jillian Barkley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House or the charity of the donor's choice.
