He is survived by : his children, Tashon Shirik Gaither (Destiny) of Statesville, La'Brian O'Neal Gaither of Mooresville, Chas'lon Sharod Gaither of Mooresville, Patrick Kiser (Iyanna) of Charlotte, Christian Redmond of Mocksville, Monikia Clement of Mocksville and Cheyenne Thomasene Gaither of Harmony; his grandchildren, Khari McClelland Jr., Kaden Howell, Kensley Hairston, Cameron Gaither, Rosalyn Gaither, Dominic Kiser and Xavier Kiser; his siblings, Patrick Turner of Mocksville, Derek Gaither of New York, Clifford Gaither of California, Victoria Turner Brown (Steve) of Salisbury and Janice Gaither Nichols (Richard) of New York; his friend Miss Peggy Ramseur; his cousin Denise Brown; his close friend Demetris Thompson; and also, Clara Rankin and Otelia Turner. He is also survived by nephew, cousins relatives & friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Piney Grove Church (145 Guilford Rd, Harmony, NC 28634). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 26th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
