The passing of James Matthew Piavis (Statesville, North Carolina) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 2, 2025 at the age of 74. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Winnie May Piavis and William Walter Piavis; and his brothers, Charles and Bill. He is survived by: his friend Sergeant; his pet Lady; his sons, Paul H. Piavis (Bethany), William (Alicia) and J. Piavis; the mother of his children Joy A. Alkema; his brothers, George and Paul Piavis; and his sisters-in-law, Barb and Hazel.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Nicholson Funeral Home (135 E Front St, Statesville, NC 28677).
