She is survived by : her husband Jessie Larry Ballard; her children, Jeffery Ballard (Patricia) and Annette F. Tomlin; her brother Bud Fox (Kay); her grandson Michael Tomlin; and her great grandchild Harker Tomlin.

The lying in state was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 15th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Nicholson Funeral Home (135 E Front St, Statesville, NC 28677). Visitation was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Oakwood Cemetery (114 N Oakwood Dr, Statesville, NC 28677).

Memorials may be given to Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Rd. Statesville, N.C. 28625 or to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1950 Salisbury Hwy., Statesville, NC 28677.
