He is survived by: his wife Mildred Templeton McDaniels; his daughter Teresa O'Brien (Andrew) of Statesville; his brothers, Robert McDaniels (Elsbeth) of Statesville and Tommy McDaniels (Nettie) of Union Grove; and his granddaughters, Sarah O'Brien (Timothy Vega), Nicole O'Brien (Hunter Price), Kaitlyn O'Brien and Miranda O'Brien.
