As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Larkie may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Early Turner and Etta Burton Turner. He is survived by: his children, Cheria Turner (D'Adra Turner), Vickie Turner, Statesville, Gretchen Turner Parker of Salisbury and Jeffrey Turner (Valerie) of Sherrills Ford; and his cousin Donnie Little. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the New Prospect Baptist Church (8395 Azalea Rd, Sherrills Ford, NC 28673). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
