She was predeceased by : her parents, Herbert Thompson and Mary Crouse Thompson; her daughter Carol Nelson; her brother Andrew Thompson; her grandson Bobby Nelson; the father of her children Jerry Nelson; and her husband John Williamson.

She is survived by : her children, Jerry Nelson (Vanessa) and Lisa Blankschen (Robert); her grandchildren, Jessica Vain (John), Kristen Watts (James), Rusty Jeffries (Amanda), Timothy Jeffries (Rene), Corey Blankschen, Robert Blankschen and Natasha Blankschen; her great grandchildren, Jakob Blankschen, Lukas Blankschen, Noah Blankschen, Tatiana Holmes, Madelyn Nelson, Christopher Vain, Aubree Fowler, Ethan Watts, Alyssa Watts, Skyler Jeffries, Bentley Adkins, Haven Adkins and Emileah Adkins; and her siblings, Herbert Thompson (Judy), Mark Thompson (Angel), Carolyn Ramey (Bud) and Jean Ann Wilson (Jimmy).

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Fairview Baptist Church (349 Turnersburg Hwy, Statesville, NC 28625). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
