With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Weisner Lewis of Statesville, North Carolina, who passed away on October 16, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Espy Vance Weisner and Etta Myers Weisner; her former husband Roman Vinon Plyler; her husband Nelson Alexander Lewis; her stepson Charles Lewis; her siblings, Arlene, Francis and Frank; and her nephew Thomas Vance.
She is survived by: her stepson Everett L. "Bill" Plyler (Jan); her stepgrandchildren, Laura Anderson, Lance Plyler and Ann Plyler; and her nephew Billy Mike Baldwin. She is also survived by many step great-grandchildren and step great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Troutman Funeral Home (345 N Main St, Troutman, NC 28166). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery (114 N Oakwood Dr, Statesville, NC 28677).
