She is survived by : her children, Paul Purdy (Carrol) of Asheboro, Patsy Hicks of Stokesdale, Taylor "Junior" Purdy (Phyllis) of Eden, Cathy Vernon (Frankie) of Stoneville and Sandra Plantz (Norman) of Stokesdale; her siblings, Dorothy Vernon and Clarence Purdy; her sisters-in-law, Betty Lawson and Tancy Purdy; and her nieces, Polly Ferguson, Sonja Wilson, Pat and Sue. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
