It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Goodwyn Yates (Summerfield, North Carolina), born in Dundas, Virginia, who passed away on September 15, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, M. Goodwyn Goodwyn and Margaret Daniel Goodwyn; her daughter Marguerite "Marri" Adell Yates; her brother Courtney Lee Goodwyn; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Goodwyn and N. Cyrus Coiner.
She is survived by : her children, Robert "Bob" Yates, Jr. (Marlene) and Sabrina Craft; her grandsons, Robert "Bobby" Yates, III (Brenna) and James Benjamin Yates (Katelynn); her great grandchildren, Robert "Glenn" Yates IV, Greyson Stone Yates, Mylah Grey Yates and Colton James Yates; her sister Joan Goodwyn Coiner; and her nieces and nephews, Nicholas Coiner (Brittany), Lee Goodwyn (Mary), Kim Goodwyn and Pam Goodwyn Fannell (Neal).
