With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lawrence Martin Vaughan in Sunset Harbor, North Carolina, who passed away on February 27, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Vaughan and Elizabeth Vaughan; and his brother Charles Vaughan. He is survived by: his wife Kitty Vaughan; his daughters, Sophia Ash (Kyle) of Cornelius, NC, Sinden Schoedel (Tom) of King George, VA and Denise Lassiter of Rich Square, NC; his grandchildren, Stella, Gracie Ash, Johnna Lee (Scott) and Kayla Ricks (Matt); his great grandchildren, Addelyn, Weston Lee, Cheyanne and Maci Ricks; and his sister-in-law Emily Vaughan. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made either to Jackson Community Church (Global Methodist Church) in Jackson, NC or Calvary Baptist Church in Shallotte, NC.
