She was predeceased by: her husband David Cowher; and her son Mark. She is survived by: her daughters, Lori Cowher (Dale Kratovil) of Cape Carteret, Kathy Hargett (Richard) of Pollocksville and Jennifer Cannon (Nat) of Wendell; her grandchildren, Jonathan Cowher (Ashley), Jacklynn Conrad (Zachary), Jordan Stewart (Hannah) and Jamison Cooper (Stacey); and her son-in-law Jack Cooper (Judy). She is also survived by her three great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons.
