He is survived by: his wife Susan Chase Newell; his son Wesley Len Newell (Ashley Ardis Newell) of Swansboro; his granddaughters, Haley and MaKinley Newell; his siblings, Wanda Holland (Ronnie), Billy Newell (Doris) and Dale Newell (Gail); and his brother-in-law Paul Anderson. He is also survived by many sibling in laws, nieces and nephews.
