He was predeceased by: his parents, George Edward Turner, Sr. and Gladys Braun Turner; and his sister Gloria Turner. He is survived by: his wife Joan Baird Turner; his children, Christopher, Stephanie of Bowie, MD and Luke of Raleigh; his granddaughter Olivia; and his sister Gene Ann Runk.
