She was predeceased by: her father Jack P. Butrum, Sr.; and her sister Beverly Pritchard. She is survived by: her husband Rev. Gregory McGarvey; her children, Jason McGarvey of Tolland, CT and Ginni Sheppard (Larry) of Spencer, NC; her mother Norma Carol Block of Garner, NC; and her siblings, Jack P. Butrum, Jr. of Williams Park, MD, Cheryl Parrish of Garner, NC, Leanne Pitts of Greenville, NC and Jeff Butrum of Spring Lake, NC..
