He was predeceased by: his brother Kurtis Edward Newman. He is survived by: his wife Christine Kay Newman; his daughters, Shannon Robb (Jonathan) of Holly Springs and Nicole Pletl (John) of Hubert; his grandsons, Matthew Robb and Burton Pletl; his parents, Jo Ann Newman, and Ronald Newman, Sr. of Swansboro; and his sister Samantha Leigh Martin (Marty) of Swansboro.
