He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Jones and Ethel Bryson Jones; his wife Arilla M. Jones; his daughter Debbie J. Watson; his grandson Travis D. Watson; his brothers, Robert N. Jones Jr. and Doug Jones; and his parents-in-law, Mattie Hooper, Betty Hill, Faye Parker, Claude McMahan, Lloyd McMahan, Rory McMahan and Ray McMahan.
He is survived by: his son David A. Jones (Tracy) of Franklin; his grandchildren, Russell D. Jones of Atlanta and Michelle Dillard of Waynesville; his great grandchildren, Clay and Lindsey Ballew; his son-in-law Alfred Watson; his siblings, Clifton Jones (Chic) and Shelby Jean Browning; and his siblings-in-law, Lorraine Jones, Debbie Jones, Alice Henson, Troy McMahan and C. McMahan.
