With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bette Lain (Sylva, North Carolina), who passed away on September 25, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Gene Lain; her parents, Art VanBlaracum and Hattie VanBlaracum; her siblings, Bud VanBlaracum (Toots), Bea Ashmore (Sandy), Opal Jordan (Virgil) and Nadyne Tongate (Gene); and her niece Lila Parsons.

She is survived by: her daughter Ellen (Amy McKenzie).
