He was predeceased by: his parents, Earvin Carpenter and Maxie Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Carpenter; his daughter Teresa Carpenter; his grandchildren, Makenzie White (Will Ballard) and Landon White; and his siblings, Starlotte Deitz and Jeff Carpenter (Mary). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bill's memory to East Fork Baptist Church Building Fund, 19 Woodrow Deitz Rd. Sylva, NC 28779.
