It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Birdie Ellen Buchanan of Sylva, North Carolina, who passed away on June 13, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Sutton and Nora Sutton; and her husband John Wesley Buchanan Jr. Birdie. She is survived by: her children, Henrietta Bradley, Carroll Buchanan (Gaye) and Clara Turpin (Ron); her grandchildren, Jeffrey Buchanan (Kelley), Amy Pitts (Jerry), Jason Bradley (Tara) and Chris Turpin; and her great grandchildren, Sara, Samuel Buchanan, Handley, Eli Pitts, Skyelar, Talyn, Emma and Caleb Bradley.
