She was predeceased by: her mother Annie Mae Green; her husband Charles Cogdill; her son Frank "Marty" Cogdill; her siblings, Joann Bryson, Roger Dale and Mike Moore; and her son-in-law Russell Higgins.
She is survived by: her children, Darlene Higgins of Sylva, Melinda Smith (Furman) of Cherokee and Charles Cogdill (Susan) of Waynesville; and her brother Tom Green of New Jersey. She is also survived by four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
