He was predeceased by: his wife Grace Ramsey Mitchell; and his siblings, Herman Mitchell and Helen Hames of Sylva. He is survived by: his daughter Debi Cogdill (Bob); and his granddaughters, Bethany Marler (Jeff) and Ashley Hooper. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
