He was predeceased by: his parents, Murray Chinners and Ada Kinkaid Chinners; and his pet Freckles. He is survived by: his wife Janet Hall Chinners; his children, John R. Chinners, Jr. (Melissa) of Perry and Michelle Smith (Dean); his stepchildren, Jennifer Boehme (Christopher) of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Brian Jinks of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his grandchildren, Colton Chinners (Ashley), Cassandra Isaacs, Brittney Boehme, Steven Smith, Justin Boehme and Caitlyn Smith; his great grandchild Kayelyn Chinners; and his brother Eddie Chinners. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
