She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Joseph and Bessie Adams (Waldroup); her husband Alfred Ray Lafon; and her sister Hazel Holland. She is survived by: her children, Tanya Williams (Roger) and Alfred Joseph Lafon; her grandchildren, Hunter Carter, Charles Carter, Aaliyah Lafon and Charles Joseph "CJ" Lafon; and her siblings, Wilma Millsaps, Cathy Anderson and Vernon Adams. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
