Lois Brown Hooper Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois Brown Hooper of Sylva, North Carolina, born in Jackson, North Carolina, who passed away on August 20, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Bartlett and Ellen Brown (Smith); her husband Charles C. Hooper; her son Michael "Dooner" Hooper; and her sister Evelyn Bradley (Max).
She is survived by: her children, Deloise Anderson, Richard Hooper (Connie) and Dale Hooper; her grandsons, Charles B. Hooper (Kimberly) and Dustin M. Hooper (Brittany); her niece Kathy Bradley Peek; and her friends, Jackie Brown, Virginia Mathis and Maxie Carpenter. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
Affectionately known as "Mamma Lois or "Nana Hooper", she babysat for over 100 children up until the pandemic prevented her from doing so.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Lois' name to the Lower Coward Cemetery Fund or Harris Hospice.
