She was predeceased by: her parents, John Young and Lula Ridley Young; her husband Leon Hyatt; her children, Margaret "Alice" Hyatt Webb and John Keith Hyatt; and her siblings, John Young, Jr. and Arbutus Cochran.
She is survived by: her sister Evelyn Young Franks of Sylva; and her grandchildren, Chad, Austin, Susan and Angela. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
