He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Buchanan and Alice Green Buchanan. He is survived by: his wife Jolene G. Buchanan of Sylva; his sons, Randall O. Buchanan (Tera) of Arden, NC and John A. Buchanan (Brenda Bennett) of Ft. Worth, TX; his grandchildren, Jeremy Buchanan (Kim), Paige Buchanan, Kallie Jo Buchanan, Erika Gibby (Jeff), Heather White (Jonathan), Travis Brent and Blaine Howell; and his brothers, Jim Buchanan of Bryson City and Richard Earl Buchanan of Sedro-Woolley, WA. He is also survived by many nieces nephews, and church family, and friends.
