He was predeceased by: his mother Aileen B. Green; and his friend Goldman Kinsland of Cherokee, NC.. He is survived by: his father George M. Green; his wife Katherine Webb Green; his sister Clara Martin; his children, Lauren and Colby Green (Charay); and his siblings-in-law, Steve Webb (Gladys), Leo Webb (Teri), Gerlene Ashe and Willa Mae Posey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Due to COVID-19, no services are planned.
