He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Winfred Allen and Advivian Guessmonda Hogan Allen. He is survived by: his brother Joseph A. Allen (Jody Melnick) of Laurel Park, NC; his children, William "Butch" F. Allen Jr. (Margaret) of Durham, NC, Lizel Allen Stone (Walter Stone) of Waco, TX and Joseph W. Allen (Laura Debty Allen) of Sylva, NC; his grandchildren, Johnathan C. Allen, Caleb N. Allen, Hannah E. Allen and Aryana J. Allen; and his friend Barbara Pope.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in his name.
