She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Wade Hodges and Cordelia Fowler Hodges; and her brother Jerry Dale Hodges. She is survived by: her husband Mack Arthur Hilburn; her children, Raymond Arthur Hilburn (Debbie) of Tabor City, NC, Michael Derek Hilburn (Dawn) of Fair Bluff, NC and Wendy Hilburn Maguire (John) of Clarendon, NC; her sister Ila Pearl Lilly of Green Sea, SC; her grandchildren, Jessica Jernigan, Travis Hilburn, Jordan Long, Jake Maguire, Chance Courtney and Madison Simms; and her great grandchildren, Aven Jernigan and Holden Jernigan.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Baptist Church (200 Live Oak St, Tabor City, NC 28463). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (16010 James B White Hwy S, Tabor City, NC 28463).
