He was predeceased by : his parents, Major Donnie Canady and Mary Jane Long Canady; his granddaughter Kayla Nicole Duncan; and his siblings, Hubert Canady, Major Canady, Bernice Lovette, Evelyn Buck and Betty Williamson.
He is survived by : his wife Phyllis; his children, Wendy Duncan (Greg) of Tabor City, Selena Gore (Evan) of Whiteville and Dallie Canady (Meghan) of Tabor City; his grandchildren, Andrew (Jenny), Meredith (Fielding), Tanner, Mackenzie, Lexie, Jentri, Graydi and Annalis; his great grandchildren, Oscar, Isabella and Raylee; and his sisters, Lula Mae Causey (Lonnie) of Shallotte, NC and Linda Gray (Carl) of Whiteville, NC..
