She was predeceased by: her husband Herbert E. Hathaway, Jr.; and her son Larry P. Hathaway. She is survived by: her children, Faye Nichols (Charles) and Avery Hathaway (Connie); her sister Dora Hathaway; her daughter-in-law Joyce Hathaway; her grandchildren, John H. Chapman, Jr., Amy D. Chapman, Rhonda H. Wells, Jennifer I. Hathaway, Everett Hathaway and Gregory Hathaway; her great grandchildren, Rachel W. Moore, Tiffany C. Barber, John H. Chapman, III, Jacob Hathaway, Savannah Hathaway, Luke Hathaway, Nathan Hathaway, Logan Chapman, Andrew Hathaway, Caleb Hathaway and Lee Wells; and her great great grandchildren, Brooklyn Barber and Brayden Barber.
