It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Allgood (Tarboro, North Carolina), born in Elm City, North Carolina, who passed away on April 10, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas G. Allgood, Jr.; and her parents, Wesley B. Doles and Eileen A. Doles. She is survived by: her daughters, Sherry A. Smith (Forrest) of Tarboro, Betsy A. Harrell (Mike) of Rocky Mount, Carolyn A. Waff of Cary and Kendra A. Phillips (Chuck) of Deep Gap; her siblings, Nancy D. Mitchell of Wilson and Wesley B. Doles, Jr. (Mary Lou) of Morehead City; and her grandchildren, Hunter Waff, Alexa Waff, Kennie Phillips, Charley Phillips, Jordan Phillips and Reilly Phillips.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. James United Methodist Church, Tarboro, NC, where Susie was a lifelong member, or to Samaritan's Purse, a nondenominational Christian organization that provides aid to hurting people around the world with the purpose of sharing God's love through.
