She was predeceased by: her parents, William Alexander Poplin and Annie Laurie Jenkins Poplin; her husband William Glenn Gainey; and her brother William Alexander Poplin, II. She is survived by: her children, Poppy Gainey Joyner (Chris) of Moyock and Marcellus Gainey (Shannon) of Wheaton, IL; her grandchildren, Colby Joyner, Zoe Gainey, Avery Gainey, Will Gainey and Hanna Vinson; and her sister-in-law Betty Poplin of Rocky Mount.
