He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Parker "Bubba" and Annie Mae Moore Woodruff; his grandparents, Albert Parker, Laura Ellen Campbell Woodruff, Julius Emmett and Melissa Davis "Lissy" Blalock Moore; his wife Alice Maria Barnes of Gaston, NC.; his child Tarboro; his sister Christine Smith; his children, Mike Woodruff, Jeffery, Carol Woodruff, Kay and George Whitehurst; his grandchildren, Allison (Robert DeSantis), Jim Woodruff, Patrick (Morgan Whitehurst), Morgan (Joey Edmundson), Paige (Michael King) and Barrett Woodruff; his great grandchildren, Zackery, Nathan Ellis, Jacob Bass, Jonathan and Caroline Whitehurst; and also Hubert Ray "Jack" Moore.
