She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas Sessoms and Catherine Hudson Sessoms; and her husband Ronald G. Winchester, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Bonnie W. Whitehurst (George) and Ronald G. Winchester, Jr.; her wife Janice Winchester; her brother William Sessoms (Anagret Sessoms); her grandchildren, Sara Whitehurst, Hanna Whitehurst, Hope Whitehurst, Grace Whitehurst and Kristy Sykes Rodman (Seth); her great grandchild Mason Rodman; and also Whitehurst, Jr.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
