He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Wooten and Sudie Corbett Wooten; his wife Shelby Ann Rose Wooten; and his siblings, Mary Wooten Baker, Anna Ruth Wooten Morgan, Gladys W. Gardner, James M. "Buddy" Wooten and Amos E. Wooten.
He is survived by: his niece Peggy Garrett (Albert) of Zebulon; and his nephews, William Robert "Bobby" Baker of St. Lewis, Gerald Wayne Baker of Battleboro, J. W, Danny Wooten of Fountain, Gene Wooten of Pinetops and Jim Wooten of Fountain.
