He was predeceased by: his parents, Dora Mae Darnley and Frederick Darnley, Sr.; and his son Ian Darnley. He is survived by: his daughters, Gretchen Darnley (Scott Ryan) of Tarboro and Kirsten Darnley (Tim Riley) of Wilmington; his siblings, Michelle Darnley of Cornelius and Greg Darnley (Dianna) of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Bowie Hillebrand, Ian Riley, Ozella Ryan, Quinn Riley and Ralph Ryan; his siblings' children, Erin Darnley (Devon) and Casey Darnley (Amanda); and the mother of his children Katie Abram of Wilmington.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Christ Lutheran Church (3600 Lawndale Dr, Greensboro, NC 27408). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
