He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Betsy Ausbon; his parents, Elvira Nizich and Gaspar Nizich; his sons, Gregory Scott (Sharon) of Gilford and Stephen Glenn of Apex; and his granddaughter Alexandra Claire Nizich of Chicago, Illinois..

His family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to either Covenant House New York or the Raleigh Rescue Mission.
