He was predeceased by: his parents, Zebulon Howell Long and Elsie Alford Andrews; and his stepfather Andrew Bern Andrews. He is survived by: his wife Judith Davis Long; his children, Jamie Long Maginnes (Al) and William Redden Long II; his grandchildren, Isaac Redden Long and Arrington; his brother Zebulon Vance Long (Joan); and his nephew Nelson Vance Long (Donna).
