He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Felts Travis and Ruth Joann Travis (McFarland). He is survived by: his wife Crystal Ann Travis (Manning); his children, Michael Wayne Travis Jr., Candice Marie Walker (Travis) and Brittany Anne Appell (Josiah Appell); his granddaughters, Gretchen, Julie, Leah, Deanna, Katherine, Susan, Trinity and Kristy; and his siblings, Mark Travis (Nelkis) and Carla Smart (Steve). He is also survived by his seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Michael requested that memorial gifts be sent to the Music Department at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa, and designated for Ensemble Tours or the General Music Fund.
