It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nannie Rodgers (Tarboro, North Carolina), who passed away on February 22, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, William Earl Exum (Charnelle), Fate Ellis Rodgers Baltimore (Luvenia), Caroline Rodgers, Tacator Hyman, Mary Battle of Tarboro, Virginia Collins (John) of Oklahoma, Annette Rodgers (Milton), Carolyn Smith, DC (Lawrence) of Washington, Vernell Wimbush, DC (Fred) of Washington and Edith Grant (Roosevelt); her sisters, Annie Mae Powell and Irene Lyons; and her son-in-law David Earl Hyman. She is also survived by nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
