He was predeceased by: his parents, Kirkland Waters and Anne Vaughn Goines of Hyattsville, MD; and his brother Kenneth Goines of Germantown, MD.. He is survived by: his wife Linda Tharrington Goines of Tarboro, NC; his children, Candace G. and Richard K. Goines of Pompano Beach, FL; his stepchildren, Thomas, Chassi Tharrington of Christiansted, Edwin and Kathleen Fenner of Raleigh, NC; his brother Beverly Goines of Lanham, MD; and his cousin Jo Ann Vaughn Hawkins of Newbury Park, CA.. He is also survived by four granddaughters, two great-grandchildren, two nieces, three great-nephews.
