He was predeceased by: his parents, Buck Pitt and Nancy Lindsay. He is survived by: his wife Fannie Pitt; and his sons, Melvin D. Pitt of Mitchelville, MD and Reginald T. Pitt of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by three grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
