She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Fortner and Annabelle Kilby Fortner; her husband Toice Kerley; and her brothers-in-law, Royde, Waitsel and Harold Kerley.
She is survived by: her sons, Lorne Kerley of Alexander County and Ray Kerley (Stephanie) of Murphy, NC; her grandchildren, Elijah Kerley, Madilyn Kerley and Elizabeth Nave; and her siblings-in-law, Phyllis Mays, Dan Kerley (Dorothy) and Wayne Kerley. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home (307 Main Ave Dr, Taylorsville, NC 28681). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church (17 Mt Hebron Church Ct, Taylorsville, NC 28681).
