He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Franklin Reitzel and Mary Eckard Reitzel; his wife Linda Icenhour Reitzel; and his siblings, Jerry "Romeo" Reitzel and Shirley Eckard.

He is survived by : his daughters, Sharrie Reitzel Summerlin (Mike) of Alexander County, Sonya Reitzel Martin (Chad) of Alexander County and Tonya Reitzel Wagoner (Terry) of Alexander County; his grandchildren, Erica Wagoner Peterson (Dillon), Tyler Summerlin, Randy Martin and Jordan Wagoner (Ashlyn); his great grandchildren, Lily Peterson, Lukas Peterson, Levi Peterson and Hayden Summerlin; and his siblings-in-law, Marcella Icenhour and Johnny Smith.
