With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elbert Mitchell (Taylorsville, North Carolina), born in Alexander, North Carolina, who passed away on May 7, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Raleigh Elbert Mitchell and Ida Mae White Mitchell; and his brother-in-law Earl Dagenhart. He is survived by : his wife Shirley Millsaps Mitchell; his daughters, Roxann Mitchell Foster (Terry) of Newton and Tamara Mitchell Odom (David) of Taylorsville; his grandchildren, Matthew Foster (Jenn) of Newton, Daniel Odom, Averi Odom and Zoie Beth Odom; and his sister Betty Mitchell Dagenhart of Taylorsville.
